What is the secret to a long life? At the Hotel Goldener Berg in Oberlech, this riddle is solved in an Alpine way: with holistic health, conscious nutrition, the power of nature – and the spirit of the Golden Energy Mountain.
How do you live to be 100 - and what does a break on the Arlberg have to do with it? For Daniela Pfefferkorn, host at the Goldener Berg, the answer is clear: longevity. The term stands for longevity - not just in the physical sense, but for a conscious, healthy and fulfilling life. It is precisely this concept that runs like a common thread through the traditional hotel in Oberlech, which has been focusing on holistic well-being for over 25 years.
Summer is the best time for this. Nature shows itself in its most powerful form - with lush green alpine meadows, clear mountain air and the soothing silence of the mountains. The so-called “Golden Energy Mountain”, on which the hotel is located, is not only an inspiring place of power, but also a center for regeneration. The altitude of 1,700 meters has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system, stimulates cell formation and promotes deep relaxation.
The focus is on a program that combines modern medical knowledge with traditional naturopathy. It includes detox offers, vegan gourmet cuisine, treatments based on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), personal coaching and energetic treatments. Yoga, forest bathing and the healing power of the mountains complete the holistic offer. Particularly popular: the combination of high-tech analyses and individually tailored retreats.
Daniela Pfefferkorn is convinced: "Anyone who comes here will find their way back to themselves. Our aim is not to treat health, but to promote it - in the long term." That's why the Goldener Berg is not about short-term wellness, but about sustainable quality of life.
The interior of the hotel also reflects the philosophy: naturalness, quality, reduction to the essentials. Wood, linen, clear lines. The rooms are retreats with a view - in the truest sense of the word. Because the panorama is spectacular. And every sunrise is a reminder that life is a conscious decision.
