With the opening of its new distillery in Mosbach, Aromahopping is sending a strong signal about the future of artisanal spirits. Between extraordinary gin compositions, creative tastings, and a high-caliber supporting program, it became clear what makes the Odenwald brand so special: attention to detail, curiosity about new flavors, and a passion for honest craftsmanship.

Botanical spirit from the Odenwald

Founded by Eric Kletti, Aromahopping stands for handmade gins and non-alcoholic botanical drinks that are more than just spirits – they are journeys in bottles.

Kletti's idea was born on the South Sea island of Moorea: to transform the flavors of the world into distillates that evoke memories and convey emotions. Today, botanicals from all over the world are combined with herbs from the company's own garden in Mosbach – from fresh sage and rosemary to vanilla from Madagascar and kaffir lime from the Far East. “Every bottle is an invitation to discover the world with different senses,” says Kletti, describing his vision.

From Inge and the Honey Bear to Erna and the Penguin

The Aromahopping brand combines two worlds of indulgence: “Inge and the Honey Bear” stands for gins that blend international flavors with regional craftsmanship. The multi-award-winning Gin No. 5 won gold at the Concours de Lyon, while Gin No. 7 with kaffir lime and cinnamon was honored at the European Spirits Challenge.

“Erna and the Penguin” represents non-alcoholic drinks with full flavor depth – such as Pingin with white grapefruit and lemongrass, which won bronze at the same competition.

All creations are united by the principle of genuine craftsmanship: from distillation to the hand-applied label that makes the brand's philosophy visible.

Distillery experience

The new premises in Mosbach offer a glimpse behind the scenes: visitors can experience how finely balanced flavor compositions are created—and how much dedication goes into every bottle. Tastings, workshops, and distillery tours will offer visitors the opportunity to experience the fascination of distilling up close.

Signature Drinks & Creative Diversity

Specially created cocktails provided special moments of enjoyment at the opening – mixed by TV bartender Nic Shanker, who used his charm and precision to showcase the aroma-hopping gins in a whole new way:

  • Sunshine Jade – Gin No. 1, mango, jasmine tea, and yuzu
  • Shiso Royale – Gin No. 8, shiso syrup, and Italicus
  • Jardin de Moorea – Gin No. 7, cucumber, rosemary, and kaffir lime espuma
  • as well as non-alcoholic versions with Aromahopping Zero, including Bee Blue and Morning Mist.

Each drink reflected the brand's core values: courage to be creative, respect for nature – and the art of transforming flavors into stories.

Conclusion

With its new location in Mosbach, Aromahopping shows that artisanal distillation can be more than just technology – it is an expression of attitude, taste, and cosmopolitanism. A brand that proves that enjoyment arises where passion meets precision – and every sip becomes an experience.
