Where to have breakfast? Where to eat pizza? And where to relax on the beach?

Jesolo in March – quiet, pristine and full of flavor. Our trip to Jesolo deliberately took us to the Italian Adriatic far away from the season: in March, when the beaches are still empty, there are no sun loungers and parasols to spoil the view and the town is in its quiet, authentic form. It is precisely during this quieter time that we have visited a few restaurants that impress with their quality and hospitality, not only in summer but also in the off-season. This makes them a real must for anyone who wants to enjoy Jesolo away from the hustle and bustle.

Anyone on vacation in Jesolo is looking for culinary experiences as well as sun and sea. Whether it’s croissants warm from the oven in the morning, vegan surprises, sustainable pizza art or relaxed drinks with a sea view – Jesolo has a lot to offer. We have tested some of the most exciting places – from breakfast to sundowners.

Restaurant tips

1st Ristorante Pizzeria Vent1 E Trenta

Located directly on the Jesolo beach promenade, Vent1 E Trenta (pronounced Venti E Trenta) combines sophisticated cuisine with casual elegance. The name – Italian for “8:30 pm” – alludes to the ideal time for a stylish dinner. Guests can expect Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with modern accents, fresh fish, high-quality ingredients and an excellently curated wine list. The atmosphere is relaxed and chic: large windows, a stylish interior and a terrace with a view of the sea make the restaurant a place for special evenings – romantic for two or in a convivial atmosphere.

In culinary terms, Vent1 E Trenta places great importance on seasonal products, sophisticated presentations and clear flavors. International influences can also be found on the menu, always finely tuned to Italian traditions. Wonderful bread, spicy oil and tomato bruscetta are already set before your order starts. Wonderful Italian starters such as prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella, a wide range of pasta variations, numerous pizzas (Rosso, Bianca) and wonderful desserts such as an exquisite tiramisu or gluten-free almond cookies.

2nd Il Granso di Gigli

Just a few steps from the sea, Il Granso di Gigli in Jesolo welcomes you with Venetian flair and a clear focus: excellent fish cuisine. The name “Granso” (Venetian for crab) says it all – everything here revolves around fresh catch, homemade pasta and carefully curated wines from the region.

The restaurant combines a maritime ambience with family hospitality. Dining is relaxed both inside and out - elegant, but without stiff formality. Particularly popular: the raw marinated fish platters, spaghetti alle vongole and the freshly caught fish of the day in a salt crust.

The cuisine is based on the flavors of lagoon cuisine, with creative twists and a focus on quality and authenticity. If you want to experience the real Jesolo feeling with culinary depth, this is the place for you. Classics such as sarde in saor, calamari fritti con julienne di verdure or spaghetti alle vongole are simply sensational. Note: very dog-friendly.

3rd Ristorante Capri – pizza with character and origin

At Ristorante Capri in Jesolo, the focus is on pizza - not only in culinary terms, but also philosophically. The pizzeria works with ancient grains, consciously showing respect for the product, the producer and biodiversity. This approach runs through the entire menu and forms the basis for a modern, sustainable pizza concept.

The choice is vast: in addition to classic pizza variations, there are numerous creative combinations and seasonal toppings – often interpreted with high-quality regional ingredients. The dough impresses with its taste and wholesomeness - thanks to the careful choice of flour and long dough processing.

The restaurant also offers an extensive selection of craft beers that are specifically matched to the variety of flavors in the dishes. If you're looking for pizza in Jesolo with high standards and provenance, you've come to the right place.

Beach bar tips

1st La Baita – beach enjoyment with a Venetian heartbeat

Located directly on the fine sandy beach of Jesolo, La Baita is more than just a classic beach restaurant: it combines relaxed beach vibes with Mediterranean cuisine and a touch of Venetian lightness. From sunrise to sunset, this is the place to be for anyone who loves the sea – and good food too.

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes: from fresh seafood, pizza and pasta to toast variations, salads, bowls and fine dolci. The aperitivo moments at sunset, accompanied by ice-cold Spritz, regional wines or sophisticated signature cocktails, are particularly popular with locals and holidaymakers alike.

Whether in the shade under the palm trees or barefoot on the terrace - La Baita stands for relaxed enjoyment with style. Ideal for an uncomplicated lunch, a romantic dinner with a sea view or simply a drink with friends on the beach.

2nd Loredana Beach Bar – uncomplicated, charming, right by the sea

The Loredana Beach Bar is a small, friendly beach bar in Jesolo that is known for its relaxed atmosphere and warm hospitality. Located directly on the beach, it is the perfect spot for a coffee-to-sand, a cold beer or an Aperol Spritz or Americano with a view of the sea.

This is where down-to-earth, genuine and friendly people meet – regulars, locals and holidaymakers come for the good atmosphere, the fair prices and the small snacks in between.

Particularly charming: the uncomplicated manner of the staff and the almost informal atmosphere. A cappuccino in the morning, a panino in the afternoon, a glass of wine in the evening - sometimes that's all you need for that real Jesolo feeling.

Note: very dog-friendly

Breakfast tip

Il Giardino – vegan breakfast variety in Jesolo

We regularly went to Il Giardino in Jesolo for croissants in the morning - and were particularly surprised by the large selection of vegan options. From classically filled to nutty or fruity - the taste was consistently convincing and freshly prepared.

The restaurant itself offers a quiet, modern atmosphere with a clear focus on breakfast and small snacks. Anyone looking for a vegan-friendly start to the day in Jesolo will find one of the most versatile options here.

Bakery tip

Panificio Moderno – craftsmanship with a contemporary twist

Panificio Moderno is a modern artisan bakery with origins in Trentino, which is now also represented in Jesolo. The focus here is on contemporary bakery craftsmanship that combines traditional techniques with high-quality ingredients and modern nutritional requirements.

The selection ranges from long-life sourdough breads, croissants and brioches to seasonal pastries and small snacks – often with alternative flours, vegan options and an eye for detail.

The appearance is urban-minimalist, the range is aimed at quality-conscious connoisseurs – whether for a quick takeaway or for a small coffee on the spot.

Our conclusion: Jesolo tastes good – for all preferences

Whether it's a vegan croissant to start the day, sustainably baked pizza with ancient grains or an uncomplicated drink on the beach - Jesolo offers more than just typical tourist cuisine. The selection ranges from trend-conscious concepts to classic fish restaurants with regional roots. Those who enjoy culinary delights will definitely find what they are looking for here.

Book tip of the week: Homemade kombucha

Treasure chest on the subject of fermented drinks

With “Kombucha selbst gemacht”, Alexandra Klein takes us into the fascinating world of Kombucha brewing. This book is a real treasure trove for anyone who wants to learn more about fermented drinks and creative kombucha recipes. In just 120 pages, the author manages to give a sound introduction to the production of the probiotic drink and at the same time present numerous inspiring recipes for drinks, dishes and even beauty treatments.

We particularly like the practical approach. From the care of the scoby (“Symbiotic Cultures of Bacteria and Yeast”) to step-by-step instructions, getting started with kombucha brewing is made as easy as possible. Whether strawberry-peppermint kombucha, lavender-pear or something unusual like kombucha hummus – the recipes are creative, versatile and invite you to try them out.

The beauty aspect is also surprising and innovative: Kombucha as a base for a face mask? This shows once again how versatile this drink is. Alexandra Klein combines her in-depth knowledge as a professional chef with her flair for herbs and natural ingredients, giving the book a personal and authentic touch.
